Lyricist/Librettist
“It's fated, it's written in a book somewhere, it's meant to be…”
– “A Man Like Me” from the album of the same name
“In another time, in another place, with another name or with another face, I could love you.”
– “I Could Love You” from the musical Critic
Steven L. Rosenhaus started out as child of the late 1960s, playing guitar and writing songs. Later he developed his craft and delved headlong into classical music but also became interested in writing musicals. His first theatrical foray, for Jay Michael's The Bard Off-Broadway, consisted of using songs Rosenhaus had already written. His next project, also with Michaels, was a “from scratch” musical, Critic, for which he wrote both music and lyrics. Since then he has contributed lyrics and/or music to various theatrical projects, including Free-the-Music.Com. He has also ghost-written libretti for several musicals that have gone on to Broadway, off-Broadway, and regional and community theaters. (These musicals can not be named due to legal restrictions.)
Please contact Steven if you are interested in having him work as a lyricist and/or librettist.
