Conductor

Steven L. Rosenhaus studied conducting with Ian Hobson and, privately, with Paul Rudoff, as well as with John Giodarno, Samuel Jones, Donald Portnoy, and Paul Vermel at the Conductor's Institute of South Carolina. He served as conductor of The Community Singers of Queens (NYC), the United Choral Society, and as Associate Conductor of the Jackson Heights Orchestra (NYC). Dr. Rosenhaus has guest conducted an extensive and impressive number of orchestras, concert bands, and choruses, including the U.S. Naval Academy Band, the U.S. Navy Band Northeast, the U.S. Naval Forces Europe (and Africa) Band (Naples, Italy), the 108th U.S. Army Reserve Band, the Carson City Symphony (NV), the New York University Symphony Orchestra, the Gubbio Festival New Music Ensemble in Italy, and both the Orchestra and Concert Band of Sacred Heart University. In addition he has guest conducted community and school bands and orchestras at all levels across the U.S. In 2024 he joined the Sacred Heart University Concert Band on a performance tour of Ireland, guest conducting his work JFK: A Profile.
